A national client is seeking a Mid‑Level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Phoenix office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience who is looking to build a sophisticated employment litigation and counseling practice within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Handle employment‑related litigation matters, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and restrictive covenants
• Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery, including managing complex factual and legal issues
• Litigate restrictive covenant and trade secrets disputes
• Provide employment counseling support to HR professionals and business leaders
• Draft and advise on bonus and incentive plans, employee handbooks, arbitration agreements, and employment policies
• Partner with senior attorneys on strategy, risk assessment, and client communications
Preferred Experience
• Meaningful experience litigating employment law claims
• Exposure to restrictive covenant, non‑compete, and trade secrets matters
• Experience advising clients on workplace policies, compensation structures, and employment agreements
• Candidates with strong general litigation backgrounds and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law are encouraged to apply
Qualifications
• Active admission to the Arizona Bar (required)
• JD from an ABA‑accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment
• Self‑starter who works well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
